Belt Installation & Tensioning

¡¡To ensure easy laying of the belt into sprocket and tensioning of the belt,
synchronous drive system should have sufficient installation and tension allowances.

¡¡The installation allowance is the minimum decrease required in the center distance for easy insallation of the belt, when the flanged sprockets removed from the shaft.

¡¡Standard installation allowances are shown in Table A.Table B shows additional center distance allowances for installation when the belt is to be installed over flaged sprocket(s) without removing it/them.The belt should never be forced over sprocket flanges by lever;this may cause permanent damage of tension member inside the belt.
